About the Role:

The Asset Manager is a key role within the contract team providing support to the site-based Service Delivery Team that comprises a combination of Aquaheat self-delivery trades and specialist subcontractors.

You're a born organiser who gets a real kick from tackling a new assignment and immersing yourself into a new situation. In this role you will oversee and provide high level of support to the site-based Service Delivery Team by undertaking a wide range of asset management and associated advisory functions as well as, organisational duties associated with the overall development and performance of the Contract.  You will also be involved in special projects associated with the contract.

Managing day to day workflow, meetings, handling queries and maintaining and updating documentation and systems all form part of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of asset plans and maintenance strategies
  • Provide asset management advice and support based on the NAMS principles
  • Standardise processes and procedures across contract agreements
  • Ensure all hard facilities management staff and subcontractors on site are delivering a cost effective, efficient and quality product and service
  • Support the service delivery team to ensure all contract deliverables are achieved
  • Provide operational management support and assist with implementing innovations and improvements for the contract
  • Contribute to creating a professional, positive, friendly and supportive environment

Key Skills and Attributes:

To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in building and leading a diverse we team, the ability to lead change whilst driving team engagement and the commercial acumen to improve business performance in a challenging market.

  • Computerised Maintenance Management Systems knowledge and experience (Pronto and/or BIEMS would be an advantage)
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in a building services /contracting business or similar environment
  • A sound understanding of asset management and NAMS principles
  • A sound knowledge of building systems and compliance along with Facility Management experience will be highly regarded.
  • Computer literate and experience in using Microsoft Office suite with at least intermediate level excel skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to relate well with people at all levels (colleagues and clients)
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail whilst taking a proactive approach to make sure workflow is planned in advance
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices with up to date knowledge of current legislative requirements
  • Have sound judgment and initiative along with a strong team focus
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage your own deadlines
