Aquaheat Facility Services is a premier provider of facility maintenance services being 100% New Zealand owned and operated with over 65 years of history providing a comprehensive range of facility maintenance services to a selected range of local government, commercial, industrial and infrastructure customers throughout New Zealand.

Aquaheat specialise in the delivery of hard facility maintenance services such as HVAC Mechanical, Boiler, Gas, Plumbing, Drainage, Electrical and Carpentry services.

Our core business is HVAC Mechanical services but in recent times we have expanded our service capability to include all hard services making it easy for our clients with one point of contact for all their maintenance needs.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a talented Manager, with a background in HVAC to actively manage our day to day Auckland based HVAC service operation. We have a team of 25 service technicians that are part of this business unit, growing on a monthly basis to meet increased demand.

The successful applicant must possess a HVAC trade qualification, have proven people management skills and be clearly focused on service delivery alongside customer satisfaction and continual improvement.

This is a well-developed business unit with local support from a Regional Service Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Manager, Estimator, Project Manager and Administration, forming part of our wider service delivery team to our Clients within the Auckland region.

You will have a genuine commitment to creating a positive and collaborative working environment and be comfortable working with a diverse range of people, personalities and challenges.

To be successful for this role you must have the following:

The successful candidate will be a NZ Resident with at least 10 years’ experience in a busy service operation that is passionate about delivering a quality cost effective service at all times.

You will have the following experience or attributes:

  • An experienced people Manager with a trade qualification in HVAC, or alternatively, an ambitious Technician or Supervisor who has had involvement with running teams,
  • A natural ability to engage with people and to lead, motivate and further develop a busy and energetic team,
  • Technically savvy with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to organise resources effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment,
  • Ability to create a high-performance team environment including the development of a strong safety culture,
  • Able to build strong long-term relationships with our customers ensuring they see Aquaheat as a preferred service provider with excellent customer service and technical support,
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a high level of computer literacy,
  • Experienced in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems,
  • Ability to work at pace and manage conflicting priorities,
  • Contribute towards developing and promoting the Company’s values in everything that one does.
  • Ensure business is conducted to a high ethical standard.
