The Faculty of Engineering Innovation Centre is the first development on the University of Auckland’s Newmarket campus; the newest addition to its integrated campus cluster, adjoining the City and Grafton campuses across Auckland.
The new campus, in the heart of Newmarket and on the former 5.2 hectare Lion Breweries site, is a hub for advanced multidisciplinary science and engineering research which will shape University development for the next 30 years.
Buildings at the campus incorporate a number of energy-saving initiatives including occupancy sensors along with maximum utilisation of natural light. Bore water is used for cooling systems and returned to source rather than using the city’s water and sewerage systems.Back to
